Taken during the Christmas "blizzard" of 2010. 14" and whiter by the time it stopped.
You may have to click on the image to see the whole thing. Or better still, check out the Flickr image .
Such a peaceful and happy shot...all crisp and new, like a rebirth or a resurrection where you are filled to the brim with new love for Him. I like how the falling snow makes the scene soft.
I haven't visited for quite some time, but so glad that I did. Your photo is outstanding. I managed to get a larger view by right-clicking my mouse and choosing the "view image" menu.
Thanks all for your comments. That was made Christmas Sunday and services had been cancelled. We got 14" before the snow stopped. Since DOT requested we stay off the roads, I didn't venture out much and missed a lot of good photo ops. I really need to resize the image so you can see the whole thing without going to Flickr.

Welcome Aboard!
I am a freelance photographer, with emphasis on 'free.' I like to shoot special events and Boats and share the pictures with anybody interested. Most of my images are captured around Historic Olde Towne, hence the name. Sometimes I slip down to the seashore for therapy, so you'll be treated with a few beach pictures from time to time.

May you always have a gentle breeze and following seas.
Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover. ---------- Mark Twain
A worthy entry Clyde. You have such a keen eye for balance in your photos.

Lovely...so peaceful. There were plenty of opportunities for "white" right after Christmas in our area. :)
ReplyDeleteso pretty and peaceful. :) happy new year!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The part I like best is the bare branches silhouetted against the white. It adds so much depth and the detail is striking.
